westcorkCommunity.ie is a new Web Directory and Podcast service specifically developed by myself, Robert Hurden, to promote ALL Community, Non-for-Profit & Social groups based in West Cork. The 3 principle objectives are:
* To heighten your profile.
* Increase your income.
* Improve your access to available resources:
We will also be producing a bi-monthly 'Voice of West Cork' podcast. The podcast will comprise of in-depth interviews with Community, Non-for-Profit and Social Groups based in West Cork, fused with a mixture of Music, Drama, Comedy, Book Extracts & Poetry, all of which will have been written, produced &/or performed by people living and working in West Cork.
In addition to the podcast service, we will also provide your group with a 'free-listing'
and 'free-promotion' of any Festival/Event fundraisers that you organise.
The podcast will also have a section open to any persons residing in West Cork who has a social issue that they feel needs addressing and an opinion on which we would appreciate, from you the listener. Finally, we will run a monthly eco-competition, in association with our sponsor, consisting of a food & drink hamper filled with goods that have been either grown &/or produced in West Cork – hence cutting down on the carbon footprint, as well as promoting and supporting our own!! The 'Voice of West Cork' will be available on this website as well as various Podcast Apps.
We are also providing an Audio-Recording service to any person/group who would like to record &/or upload their own work. We have created a library for Actors/Actresses, Authors, Scriptwriters, Poets & Musicians as well as providing them with a platform to air their work .
westcorkCommunity.ie is a website that has all of the above and so much more! We intend to grow and grow and to provide a service that every time you come back to, will have something new to offer.
