‘Voice of West Cork’ podcast, Series 2 – Episode 16.
“Bantry Community Café”
In this edition I am joined by Nuala Kenny, founder & team leader and Becky, Natasha & Mo, all representing the newly opened Community Café in Bantry – providing a safe space for people dealing with anxiety, depression &/or mental health issues.
This project has been many years in the making & Nuala explains her reasons for wanting to see this café come to fruition. She & the volunteers also talk about the importance & the benefits that this much needed space within the community will provide & their vision going forward.
In order to breakdown the stigma attached to mental health, the café is open to all & everyone. The services that they provide is for persons of 18 years+, so if you, or anyone that you know, is in need of assistance, the Bantry Community Café is there help.
Enjoy…
